Temp sensor on a New Holland T1030

The temperature gauge has stopped working and I've searched the web trying to find the location of the temperature sensor / sender on the Shibaura S773L engine.

Anyone have access to schematics or first hand experience ?

Shibaura engines typically have the temp sender in the thermostat housing.

That's where mines at

That's the direction I needed.
It's part # SBA385720011 .......... and I also found info in this forum on how to check if the gauge... or the sensor is bad.
You take off the lead to the sensor and connect in to ground with a jumper ..... then turn the key .... if the gauge goes up...then the sensor is the culprit.

Seems like it's never easy. The two dealers within 20 miles don't have the part and those that sell on the web want $16. to $20. to ship the forty dollar item that's smaller than a spark plug.

Local dealer can have it in 2-3 days freight free on his daily stock order.
Am I the only parts manager that promotes this as an advantage over internet retailers?

No. The parts manager at my local MF dealer promotes this all time time.

I prefer the local dealer over buying online..
