In theory the US government owned almost all the land in Illinois, surveyed it and sold it or gave it away. You could say the land was taken from the various Indian tribes but not really since most of them didn’t feel they owned the land.

I loved flying my COX PT trainer…

For some reason I went with the Testor brand trainer. I also had a Cox propeller driven car. Great messy oily fun. And a great way to get fingers chewed up. The neighbor’s dog learned a painful lesson catching that car.
