I have a "U-Dump" off road dump trailer, Works great, flotation tires, hooks upto the remotes on my Kubota, but it does not have a steep enough dump angle.

The easiest fix would be to get a telescoping hydraulic cylinder to give me a longer lift.

This way I would not have to cut and weld on the trailer.

Any idea where to get such a thing.

When I built my dump trialer I tried to get as close to a 50degree dump as possible. Maybe you could move the cylinder to a more desired location??? Those telescopic cylinders are nice but they come with a $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Perhaps you can weld the complete hyd assembly further back to get more lift, or install a longer cylinder, with new rod end attaching point.

I want it all! A cheap cylinder that I do not have to cut & weld on the trailer??

It is good to WANT!

Dry material slides out just fine but if it is sticky, wet, then it can be a little more trouble.

It was just designed a little wrong.

I will keep looking for a cylinder so if anyone knows of a source please keep them coming.

What is your collapsed length and how long do you want it? A little easier if we know what to look for.

How about instead of changing the dump angle, you install a liner so the material slides out ?? Perhaps you could do it on the cheap by getting a used dump truck liner from a company that changes theirs as they wear (i'm assuming they are changed before the actual dump body/trailer is worn out). All you'd have to do is cut the used plastic liner to fit your trailer.

Bailey Hydraulic Cylinders Manufacturer. Look in their surplus section. If you change the mounting locations, you better be real careful. You will change the entire geometry of the trailer. Getting a higher lift also changes the center of gravity, raising it higher when you dump. One wrong move and over she goes. There is a reason why they make them to only lift a certain height.

Another approach might be to add a vibrator device.
Could be hydraulic or electric powered, basically a motor that spins an unbalanced load causing vibrations.
Gravel 'slinger trucks' use them to shake all the gravel down from the hopper onto the slinger belt.
