Oil & Fuel TDH oil

Hi. I have a CK35H and I would like to know which TDH fluid is best to use. I am doing my 200 Hrs maintenance. At 100 Hrs I was told to use normal TDH oil but last week I was talking to a Kioti mechanic and he told me to use semi-synthetic TDH. Can you tell me what's best for my tractor. I leave in Canada and it is very cold out here.

There are many brands out there and I would imagine everyone has their favorite. Mine is Kubota Super UDT 2 because of their exceptional cold weather characteristics. Was having an issue where the machine would almost stall when lifting the loader at idle right after start-up. Thick fluid in cylinders and still an issue 15 min. later, even after cycling cylinders to bring in warmer fluid. Changed fluid and no longer an issue. Also use it in my JD 318 with great results.

Several companies do make synthetic hydraulic oil. It does have better flow characteristics when cold just like engine oil. The cost is about twice that of regular oil but from what I read, your oil change hours can be extended. Just change the filters at the normal interval. If your main issue is cold temp flow, synthetic may be a good choice for you.

Just another vote for synthetic. The Kubota US version is made by Ashland Oil I believe, don't know if Petro Canada still bottles for Kubota in Canada. Deere and all the other "big names" will also have their synthetic version. It is where things are going. My Toyota now requires full synthetic in both the engine oil and the trans fluid, nothing else acceptable.

You'd not regret it. The interval time is so long that it will be long time, probably, until you change it again. This helps ease the pain of the initial purchase.
