Does a TD75D have a start relay between the key switch and the low-current side of the solenoid? Or does the voltage to the solenoid come directly through the ignition switch?

Pretty sure right off the switch. I've got the electrical schematic for it somewhere. I'll look.

Dwayne, thank you. I won't have time to work on it until NOV 1, been starting it with jumper bypassing the key switch.

It has a switch on the firewall that the clutch depresses to close the starter circuit. At least myTD95D does. I had to adjust that when I first got the tractor because it did not start every time.
