Had them both machined down from 3/4 to 5/8 thread on the ends and all worked well............for about 2 hours, then pop!! Guess its new rods now at $303 each from New Holland. They want $600 each for whole new cylinders.
So sorry to hear about Jinman's passing. His contribution on the curling failure helped me fix the problem with my Yanmar EX450. I was piling brush when the bucket stopped curling. Got back to my shop and went to this forum. I tried Jinman's suggestion and found a quick-disconnect fitting separated by about one-quarter inch. Reseated it and I'm back to piling brush. Thanks, Jinman. I know you can hear this.
