TC55 vs TN60

dlg; Corriher last fall wasn't a dime cheaper than my local dealer for the same spec tractor. Buying out of state has an extra grand for transportation and who will do the warranty work if required ? Plus my dealer gave me top trade price for my tc 45. Unless I lived 30 miles away I wouldn't give Corriher another call.
The difference between the 55 and 60 is simple. One is a compact utility and the other is a farm tractor. The TC 55 DA fit my needs the best and that is why I ordered one. Weight can be added but hard to remove for certain applications.
General Motors is a prime example of 10 different cars with similar specs. I forsee NH spreading the gap between hp ratings due to too many configerations for the same purpose.

I am very happy with my TC48DA Utility size, but did look at the TN60. It is a real Ag tractor, and the front axel is massive when compared to the TC48/55 Utility size. If you are going to do any serious farming, and have the room to swing the TN60 around then the decision is a nobrainer, if you can afford the TN60. The pecking order as I understand it is subcompact, compact, utility, Ag. Don't know exactly where you are located, but I contacted Corriher about the TC48, and they couldn't even beat the price I got from the dealer I got mine from.

I happen to own both a 2120 (same chassis as TC48/55) and a TN75D. I've had the 2120 since 1987 and it has basically performed flawlessly. They may have the same wheelbase, but they do not turn the same. IT takes quite a bit more room to get the TN turned around. My first TN was a TN75S that I traded for a D, since I think the TN wheelbase is too short for SuperSteer. As far as longevitiy, I wouldn't want to bet against the 2120/TC48/TC55 series which has been one of Ford /New Hollands most successful lines.
