I'm looking at picking up a TC45DA with a 250TL FEL (will probably be adding a 6' tiller, 6' brush hog, and a 6' box scrape as well if I'm real nice to my wife). What is the best price quotes others have received or paid if you purchased one of these sweet machines over the last year or so. I'm located in the northeast and would like to have some realistic numbers before I start negotiating with some local dealers.

Also, NH is currently offering 0% for 48 months. Is that pretty much the best offer that I'll see for anything other than a TC30, or do they typically run a 0% for 60 offer during another time of the year for tractors other than the TC30?

Thanks in advance.

Moto,

Cab or no cab? Any remotes, mid pto? I just purchased a DX45 w/cab. Price was high but so was the trade in I got on my DX33 so it's hard to figure what I actually paid. Depends on what you would put the real value of my 33 at. Anyway, the main reason I posted is that if you don't need the supersteer option, you may look at a DX45 (same tractor in red). I just bought mine at 0% for 60 months. It's not an advertised program but you should be able to get it until the end of this month. I talked to a couple of New Holland dealers and they didn't know anything about the 0/60 plan so must be a Case dealer only plan.

I paid $26,434 for mine little over a year ago. It is the cab model.

Thanks for the responses. I don't believe that I would need a mid mount PTO or additional remotes. Also the supersteer option is pretty nice, but I wasn't planning on going this route. Finally, as much as I would love the cab, I need to skip this and stick with the foldable ROPS so I can park this thing in my garage.

A buddy of mine who runs a farm was telling me about NH and Case being pretty much the same machine, but I had not heard about their 0% for 60 offer. I will definitely have to check this out as well.

Only thing you'd need the mid pto for would be for a belly mower.

$24k is a good starting point for a TC45DA and loader. Can you tell us why you need the extra 5 hp over the TC40DA? The TC40DA will pull a 6' cutter and a 6' tiller just fine. All the specs other than PTO hp are the same for the two tractors (loader, 3PH, and pulling power) and you can save a bundle by buying the TC40DA. If you are not running AC in a cab or a big PTO implement, the extra power of the TC45DA is pretty much a waste.

Good question about the extra HP, because I was initially thinking about a 34 or 35. I'll be brush hogging 10 acres about twice a year. From what I've been told, this much mowing in heavy grass (an old hay field) would be pretty tough on a smaller HP tractor. If the 40 will get the job done fine and hold up to me playing in the dirt regularly with the FEL and potentially a backhoe as well, I would be happy to save some money on the tractor and put the extra money towards the attachments. I appreciate the information.

Nice tip on the jewelry!

For a 6' cutter, the 40DA will be fine. If you were buying a gear tractor instead of HST, then you would get more benefit from the TC45, but with an HST, you'll never know the difference. Now, the N844L engine in the TC45 is a very strong engine that is used in other NH applications and even turbocharged in some of those. It's a strong engine. However, the N844 engine in the TC40 is basically the same engine with a shorter stroke, so it is also a very good engine. You will be happy with either.

On saturday I looked at a 2310 (TC40 W/ a cab).

27,920 Tractor only
3640 for a 250 TL Loader
2966 for a Rhino TM84 Turbo rear finish mower
3293 for a New Holland rear snowblower
1200 for 2 rear remote valves for blower function

Total with Tax 40,970.00

Does this seam high? Seams expensive.............
