Tractor will idle down after engine comes to temp and dies. It will restart but have to park it for a while. Started at tank and have checked everything all the way to injector pump, fuel is flowing so I am wondering if relay is resetting. Anyone ever had similar issues???

I can't imagine any relay that will make your engine idle down and then die. The shut off solenoid on that tractor is either on or off, it's not variable in any way that I'm aware of. If you have doubts about the electrical circuits, you can always run a jumper straight to the solenoid and try running it that way for a while and see what happens. If something is causing it to idle down, it's probably fuel related.

Thanks Harry, I have fuel flowing all the way to injector pump, have cleaned tank, new fuel line, filter, and new fuel cutoff solenoid because of blown fuses. it will start and run normally for 10-20 minutes then idle down and die.

I still believe your problem is fuel related. Your symptoms seem to me the fuel supply is gradually diminishing to the point of starvation. This could be lack of tank venting, or possibly a blocked return. I believe your tractor has no supply pump, just gravity feed? This type injection pump has no internal transfer pressure, relying totally on what is supplied. I would be checking the return line for a free flow back to tank. Then if that checks out, I would strap a jug of clean fuel somewhere high enough to flow a good stream, put a suitable length of fuel hose into the jug, draw a siphon and plug the hose onto the filter inlet(or directly onto the pump inlet if you choose). Run the tractor on that for the same length of time and see what happens.

Check that the vent in the cap is not clogged. Ours used to actually collapse the tank some before stalling out until cleaning the cap. Open the cap immediately after stalling and listen for a hissing noise as air rushes into tank or you might want to try running with the cap on loose to rule this out.

Have you found a fix for this? I have a very similar problem and I'm not making any headway.

Will know something tomorrow.

I had a bobcat. That the fuel injector outer casing cracked and when engine warmed up the crack grows and would suck in air. Might not be your problem. but a problem I have seen like that

My problems started with algae in the tank which I did not catch until after I bought a 12 volt diesel fuel pump. Thinking the factory pump had gone south I replaced it and when the problem kept recurring checked everything from the tank to the injector pump, everything but the inlet filter on the pump and after replacing it have not had any problems. The factory pump may or may not be good, will deal with that later. Thanks guys for responding.
