Good morning all.

My TC45D has developed a diesel leak which seems to originate from the injector manifold. I've been observing this for several months now and here's what's strange: the leak only seems to occur when the engine is not running and the fuel petcock is left on. It takes several hours for the leak to begin but it will literally drip fuel on the ground. In this case the engine will be very difficult to start as the engine is flooded with diesel. Once started the engine runs fine and I can not detect any leakage. My work-around is to always remember to turn the fuel off when I park the tractor but I would like to understand/address the root cause.

Has anyone else seen this problem or have any ideas as to what might be causing the leak?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Your pump is most likely leaking from the o-ring that surrounds the individual pumping elements. Unfortunately you cannot service the pump without a 5-point 9mm socket.

Your dealer may not have the tools or expertise to service your pump, you may have to find diesel pump and injector shop.
