TC40DA 101 Education

I'm considering an immediate purchase of a TC40DA. There is a lack of operating details via Google search.
The Tractor has been worked and requires a few repairs.
Before I just drop it off at a dealer for repairs after I purchase, I hope this friendly group can fill me in or point me to where this 101 information is posted.

1. This Tractor has Supersteer. Does it automatically mean it has MFWD? or is it rear drive only? (2WD)
2. Explanation of lever/button operator controls on each fender? Exactly which lever, does what. Seems that all lighting controls are on the dash panel.
3. If this Tractor has MFWD, where is the lever to engage and disengage? Mechanical or electronic engagement?

It will have MFWD, mechanically engaged. An operators manual is a must have and will answer your questions.

If you go to Messicks.com and look up your model number, you will likely find the nature of the levers under the parts lookup for "decals," which should show what's what. On my smaller machine from that era, the right side has the up/down for the three point, and the 2/4 wd levers. On the left are the rear and mid pto engagement levers and the Hydro range selector. Don't know if that was similar on the bigger DAs.

Well, the decals don't help much because they don't show where they are located on the machine. The lever with the longest throw should be your 3 pt. The two PTOs should have levers, probably with the same color handles, side by side. The range lever should be the lever with the second longest throw. If the decals are on the machine, they are pretty self explanatory.

Thanks for the help. Messicks has a good website and part descriptions. OK, I know where the lever is to engage the front wheels. Looks like 2 lever positions. Auto FWD and 2WD. What is Auto FWD?
