Jan 25, 2016 / TC40D front tire Rim Gaurd & V-Bar chains?

Re/ my prev. post on lack of TC40D SS front end traction while bucket plowing snow: Would it be bad for the front end to add Rim Guard and or V-Bar chains? I think I heard somewhere that the front end is kind of fragile. I will try rear steer w./ separated brakes. Sounds like a great idea.
