2002 New Holland TC40S
Today I was mowing a one acre lot using my 2002 NH TC40 (350 hours) and the BH 480 Squealer rotary mower. All went well but as I was doing a tight round turn around a small pile of dirt with the steering wheel cranked over hard to the right, the steering wheel would just keep on slightly cranking but with no more effect to the full steering turning/radius. Once the tractor was straightened out for the next straight mowing pass, the NH steering wheel emblem was not in it's usual fore and aft position. Did the same manuver again to see if it really was happening and yes, the wheel emblem came back in a different position once returned to thwartship. No hydraulic leaks anywhere and no abnormal noises. What do you think is the cause?

I agree with Rick B. There is no mechanical link between the steering wheel and the front wheel like a car has. There is nothing wrong with your tractor.
