I am a new owner of a TC35 and wondered if it is of to shift from a forward gear to reverse without clutching or is the shuttle shift only for shifting to another forward gear? Also, I would like to add a fel and seeking advice about good after market loaders recommendations.

The shuttle shift changes your direction you are going in. Either forward or reverse. The SSS needs to be clutched while changing direction from forward to reverse or vice versa. However this is not the case on a EHSS (elecronic hydraulic shuttle shift). With a EHSS you just flip the shuttle and the tractor will change direction. And of course on either model you have to depress the clutch or inching pedal when going through the gears.
Each shuttle system has advantages and disadvantages.
