TC35 inner air filter black inside

Ha. I guess thats is a possibility! Two of you mentioned it so I suppose you have encountered it. How could that happen?

Being a rookie at diesel engines, I never thought of the running backwards issue. Rick, doesn't that normally happen when the engine is lugged down until it almost seems to stall and then it will kick over a few times and spew out the intake? Navyjoe, have you lugged the engine down to stall and then had it run awful for a few seconds until you shut it off? When you said it was running bad, is that what happened?

I've lugged it down quite a few times. Don't remember that happening but it could have and I didn't notice it in the midst of the agravation of the moment.

Consider it done. It was his fault for sure

Found the problem that was causing the intermittant power. It was a bad fuel hose.

You've certainly been doing your share of troubleshooting/fixin' lately. It sounds like you are getting your tractor in very good shape, repairing issues and preventing future problems.
