OK Guys, had my mind made up to buy a JD4310. But I drove up to see my dad today and he and I went and looked at a New Holland TC33DA. And I loved it, he knows the dealer real well and I was treated great.

Here is my price
TC33DA 15900
Loader 3800
6' belly mower 2600
Now my questons
First is this a good price
Next he has some of last year models, are the new ones any different? what would be a good discount to buy last years?
Also do you like the single foot pedal?

Also last and not sure on this one. the JD and Kubota will lift about 500 pounds more than the NH on the 3 point hitch. The dealer had last years specs and did know if that was true on the DA. Also the JD is a little heavier.

Please help? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The price on the tractor looks good. The loader seems high unless it is the new 14LA? The mower deck is ok also.

I love the single pedal. You might not like it at first but if your stuck on the dual pedal you will get use to it. Don't let that be your deciding factor.

As far as the 3 point lift capacity there was a thread a while back on that and your right, John Deere and Kubota did have a greater lift but the lift New Holland has is plenty for anything the tractor will run. No one could come up with an implement that was heavier.

If you go to last years model you will find a better price, but remember you will end up with the old style 7308 loader. I think the new DA has the LA series and that is why it is more expensive than what I paid for my 7308. The 7308 does everything I ask of it. Personnally I would stick with the newer tractor if you have the money.

Also no matter what brand you go with make sure you like and get along with the dealer. Hate to have you get a dealer that won't support your decision of whatever you buy.

Good luck
Just my opinion.

buy.I would also look under the hood of the 33d and the 33da. If they are like the larger new units, the battery will be vented, the radiator will have a overflow container. Also the new 33da is suppose to have a heavier front axal. Most likely there are other small fixes that make the 33da a better buy.

The dealer is your savior when there is a problem. You said the dealer treated you well. That is worth a lot, it is nice to have piece of mind when you are making a major purchase.

The tractors are bascially equal with different design features.

The 500# 3pt lift capacity difference is really a non-issue and may be due to different measurement points. Even if they are measured the same, the difference will likely lift the front of the tractor off the ground so that makes it moot. Both of my CUTs have 3pts that have enough power to lift more than can actually be lifted so what good is that excess power? At some point it is useless, but looks good on paper.

That leaves the dealer and the price as key deciding factors. The price seems to be good. And the dealer sounds to be excellent.

What are you waiting for?

Welcome to TBN! I just went through this same decision and my TC33D was delivered last week.

Here is my price for the TC33D with Supersteer, 72" mm and 7308 loader:
TC33D $15350 (added canopy and arm rests for $500 extra)
7308 $3200
72" mm $2350

I had dealer quote the TC33DA and new 14LA loader which was $1000 more ($400 on tractor and $600 on loader). The difference in price was not worth it to me. Looks like your price is right in there.

I have not used mine enough to give you feedback on rocker pedal. The three point hitch lift capacity should be more than adequate for anything thing you will lift including large round hay bales. I like the little lighter weight of the TC33 because of the amount of lawn mowing I do (5 acres).

Good luck with tough decision. If you chose the JD4310, be sure to check with dealer to make sure your tractor was not part of hydro transmisssion recall.
