Seriously, it sounds as if your bearing and seal are gone. This could be caused by a bent PTO shaft. The wobbling shaft would cause severe side loads and eventual wear leading to failure. Whatever the reason, I don't think it's a terribly expensive repair. Good luck and please let us hear what the outcome is.
