Tc33d with 758c (6/00) hydraulic issues

I recently purchased a used 03 TC33D with a 578c backhoe. The problem that I'm seeing is that the backhoe seams to lack power and if I don't lock the boom and outriggers even when the tractor is running they creep down. My first thought was that the pressure relief valves a going. I spoke with a local tractor shop and the said most Likely the gresen valve I scraping out.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

On my 2003 758C hoe one outrigger will drift down, and the boom will too. Engine running or not. It's had a lot of use but the boom drift started about four years ago. I think it is more related to internal cylinder leakage, but that is just a guess.

Why do you think the hoe lacks power? These small backhoes tend to be great for digging in dirt, but on the wimpy side for stumps and such. Will the backhoe lift the rear tractor wheels off the ground? It should be able to. Remember to raise your FEL bucket up a foot or two before you try it.

Dave I have done a good bit of digging with it since we got it in march. I have put about 300 hours on it a good bit of them digging with the hoe. I dug a 12' x14'x10' deep hole with it no problem about a month and a half ago was digging last week with it an the same type of dirt and it had a hard time breaking through and scooping. I have to bring both the boom and dipper in at the same time if I have a bucket full just to get it out of the hole. The other reason is I have full 9' oak logs that I have picked up and moved with this and tried moving one on to my stand to cut into boards and the hoe wouldn't even lift it.

Here is the start of the hole that was dug. That is a ten foot step ladder in the hole.

Sorry to answer your question no. It will not lift them off the ground without the assistance of the outriggers.

I see. It has become noticeably weaker since you bought it. I had the idea that you recently purchased it and it was weaker than you expected.

You may get better help if you open a thread in the Hydraulics section of the General area. Or begin by searching for hydraulic testing/trouble-shooting threads.
Using Google search with site: w w w .tractorbynet.com "test hydraulic" will return many results. Remove the spaces after the w's. The TBN editor wants to convert that to a url that is useless for the Google search.

For starters, you need to get a hydraulic pressure gauge and the fittings to insert it into your hydraulic circuits before anyone can really help you. There are some sharp hydraulics folks here like J_J who monitor the Hydraulics section but they need info to help you. The gauges aren't expensive.
