I have a TC33D with the R-4 tires. They currently are mounted in the wide position. Owners manual says they should not be swapped to the narrow position. The reason I would like to swap them is I have a 60" 914A mower deck and the rear tire widths is 62".

It looks like there is plenty of clerance if I did switch them but was wondering why the manual says not to switch them.

I just joined and remembered your inquiry. I have a TC33D with the R4s mounted narrow. The only issue I have noticed is the 3 pt. arms, if not secured, can rub on the tires. There may also be a clearance problem when mounting larger implements (cat I/II) to the 3 pt. requiring some jockying. I prefer the narrow setting for mowing and a 5' snow blower. good luck!

Thanks for the info. I do not use the 3 pt so that will not be an issue. I will make sure the arms not in the way of the tire. Only need to turn around the left tire as the mower deck is narrower than the tires.
