Tractor won't start. The first of three big square fuses(?) on the rt side of tractor is humming when the key is on. Don't know what the fuse is for. I called around and was told that was odd. Any clues?

I looked at the manual, the "square fuses" are probably your safety relays, good place to start troubleshooting.

Thank you but my problem was a grounding issue. Even though all my grounds seemed tight and clean it was still my problem. Undid every ground and used some sand paper. Started right up.

Excellent news! Glad you are running.
I cleaned all my grounds but it didn't fix my starter solenoid intermittent, guess I'll have to replace.

Ya I was thinking starter issues also but my problem was the ground on the lower right side of engine block. It was tight and looked clean but I still took it off and sanded both the block and wire connection.
