I have a New Holland TC33 tractor that I'm having problems with the rear PTO. I've used it a fair amount with an auger as well as a rototiller. 160 hrs total at the moment. Now when I try to use the rototiller it won't stay engaged. It jumps out of gear as soon as it hits resistence. So first it will engage when its up and runs fine. As soon as it gets any major resistence when I lower it, it pops out.
I've tried holding the lever down and when it tries to pop out it makes a grinding sound. I've adjusted the linkage with no difference hoping that it was only not fully engaged. Seems to be fully engaged though.
Any thoughts?
