I looked at a TC33 last weekend and wonder if someone could explain the difference in the 'D' version. Also, what is the difference between the trans-driven rear PTO and a Independent? How do they affect attachment operation?

I like the TC33 alot and would like some more info based on owners experience concerning the tractors strengths and weaknesses. Also, how much did you pay w/FEL and/or other attachments? Did you find any package deals that included things like a mower, box blade, tiller, etc.? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

D=
hydrostatic tranny w/cruise control
deluxe 3pt hitch (extendable links, etc)
wraparound headlights
deluxe seat (swivels)
availability of supersteer option
cupholder/toolbox
rubber floor mats
tilt/telescope steering wheel

independent PTO means operates independent of the tranny - will run regardless of clutch or tranny position

I have a TC40D, so cant comment on ownership or prices

Good luck!

I might be able to help you some with the pricing. I have a TC29D

TC29D with supersteer-sensi-trac-cruise control, extend a links-block heater and hydro. Pretty much loaded.

including
72" MMM
7308 FEL and 60" bucket

Purchase price was just under $20,000 set up and delievered. The dealer quoted me $800.00 more to go to the TC33D and I would have done it except I had already gone from the TC25D to the 29 and paid $400.00 more there.

Hope this helps you

I bought a TC33D last summer and have been quite happy with it after 70+ of mostly loader work.

Here's what I got:
TC33D, filled R4's, 7308 FEL, 68" HD bucket, 60" side discharge MMM, 60" Woods rear blade, engine block heater, service manuals, & delivery for $19,947. The dealer itemized the FEL at $3K, MMM at $2100, & the blade at $300, leaving everything else at $14,547. I didn't negotiate item by item, so I don't really know if these numbers have any real meaning.

BigDave,

That looks like an awsome price. My question is then, your from the NorthEast and everyone says things are so much higher there. Or are you south enough to get away from that. I paid just under $20,000 for my TC29D with 7308 FEL, 60" bucket and 72" MMM. I got the R4's on mine. I am not sure if the Cruise and block heater or what other things are standard on the D version to compare. But it looks like you did pretty good. I also probably didn't get as good of a deal since I was tradin in a TC21D that only had 70 hours on it also.

Murph,

Everything's not more expensive here, cars, tractors & furniture all seem to be about the same everywhere that I have lived. Think about this: Sears prices are nationally advertised. Houses, fast food, labor intensive services are more expensive. I shopped around pretty extensively, but once I chose New Holland, the difference in the two nearest dealers was about $1200 for the TC33D. I went with the cheaper, since both dealers had been around for a long time and I didn't run into anyone with a gripe about either. BTW the engine block heater was about $75. I'm not entirely positive about the manual prices, but I think they were close to $200. I think the tire fill was supposed to be $150. We didn't document these prices, the salesman threw out the number and I agreed or disagreed. There was a $1200 rebate at the time coupled with 3.9% financing. I think the rebates disappeared when the financing went to 0.0%.

Mark,

You mentioned a cupholder in your explanation of the D series. Where is this cupholder suppose to be. I didn't get one??? Is it possible that it was where my joystick is now?

Bill,

I bought from Gaithersburg Equipment. Here's a link where you can get an online quote: Frederick & Gaithersburg Equipment I did the online quote process and it worked well with a response in days. Michael Rippeon, that's who responds to the emails for both locations runs the FE store. Although it doesn't seem to mention it on the website, as of last summer, GE also had a large selection of Kubotas. FE only sells Kubota & NH Construction.

My bad /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif!
I think the cupholder is only on the Class III Boomers.
