TC30 lower link pin substitute

Hello, I lost a pin for the lower link arm on my TC30. The NH part number is SBA370910060. It's a flat sided pin with a hole at the bottom for a cotter pin. At $31 apiece, they seem a little expensive for what they are.
I cut off a regular 7/16" linchpin and drilled a hole for the cotter pin. It seems to work fine.
Just wondering if someone knows of a substitute for the factory part?

That does sound expensive and it sure sounds like what you did will work just fine.
