TC30 Foldable ROPS

Do they have any? I was told that all they had were the rigid. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Back when I was doing my tractor search, I was looking at the TC30. And I never seen one with a foldable ROPS, which was a downside in my opinion. I was thinkning in my head, "How will I make that thing fold if I buy it?"..

Furthermore, it looked like it couldn't me easily removed due to some stuff connecting too it on the underside...

best of my knowledge they don't offer a foldable. But if you look at the foldables they're just a hinge and pin, very easy to manufacture. There are a couple of discussions here about making your own foldable. I wouldn't let it stop me if your talking a huge money differance from your next choice. The TC30 is a great tractor.

On the latest NH page where they compare the TC30 to another tractor it says a foldable ROPS is available. I e-mailed both a dealer and NH and asked if this was a typo but haven't gotten an answer yet

I appreciate all the help guy's but it's disappointing that this model doesn't have foldable rops.

Sorry you are disappointed, but the TC30 does not come with foldable ROPS. It is designed as an "economy" model, and thus does not have every option available.

As others have mentioned, it looks like the folding rops is an option. The competetive comparison on the newholland says so anyway.

It DOES NOT come with a foldable ROPS. I contacted NH and mentioned that on the comparison page for the TC30 it says it's an option and they e-mailed me back that it's a typo that their webmaster did not catch.

Thanks for that info.
I also was considering a TC30 and had thought I could get it as an option. Oh well - its either take it off the list or raise the garage door height /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

According to the info I have the height is 82.4" on 2 wheel drive model. Not sure how muck higher it is on 4wd but a roll up 7" garage door is usually about 85" high. The ROPS on this model is a little shorter than most other brands. The dealer I was dealing with told me he hasn't had anyone that can't park in a garage as long as it had a roll up door. Just problems with a swing up door. But, he was also trying to sell me a tractor too. Measure your door and then go measure the top of the ROPS. Park on a level surface and hold a level off the back and measure to it. Or ask the dealer to modify it to foldable as part of the deal. They may not want to do that for liability reasons, but don't discount the TC30 until you find it won't fit. It's a great tractor. Almost bought one myself.
