i need some input on my tc29da , today i had been brush hogging for 4 hours when i stalled the tractor when the brush hog dug into a dirt pile, then the tractor would not restart, it acts like the starter but not sure could be a safety, i got dark on me . i hope its still in the field when i get back in the morn.

In the heat of the action did you forget to switch the pto off?

no sir i shifted all levers ,pto,s off, drive lever to neutral.

this is the first time out on this tractor,everything worked great, i ran it for four hours with out stopping i suspect ether the starter heated up being right next to the exhaust header or maybe a shifter safety , ran out of daylight, try again in the AM

Perhaps PTO wire underneath tractor hung something and got unplugged and the system thinks the pto is still on. Happened to me.

When you attempt to start the tractor, jiggle the levers a bit in case the safety switch is not aligned perfectly. It might be that the switch is a tiny bit out of adjustment. When the engine turns over, but it won't start, that is normally the seat switch or operator present safety. When the starter won't engage it is normally the PTO or Range Lever not in neutral.

Oh yes, be sure to check all fuses. This is a common problem on our tractors that fuses blow and the tractor will not start.

Under left side rear fender well; check all wires as a few are able to be disconnected if a twig catches them. Know from experience.

thanks for all your input , and yes you were right a stick or something unplugged the safety switch and shorted out the circuit took out the fuse. i think i will heat shrink the connectors when i get time.
