In my search of all the units I've driven this is without a doubt the sweetest I've been on. This is the first HST I've ever driven. I know what all the fuss over the HST is about now. Speed and direction changes require little more than just thinking about it. The three ranges offer lots of possibilities.
The SS will let it turn on a dime almost literally. It sounded good, ran good, felt good and looked good. While it's new it is a last year's model without the new style stacked lights. It was offered at $13,926. How does that stack up? I had not intended to spend that much. I looked at it on an impulse and came away truly impressed. The wife blew a gasket, way too many $$ for her.

Wait til she finds out how much a loader costs.
Wait til she finds out how much more invisible you 'been lately'.

You just wait .... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Howdy neighbor!! Yes, that is a very nice machine you looked at /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. It has a lot of nice features that can make work a little easier. I agree that HST is the way to go, especially if you plan to mow your property with it. I am no expert on prices, but that price sounds reasonable to me. I believe SuperSteer adds close to $1000.00 to the price. You may be able to negotiate a better deal since this is last years model. I would think the dealer would like to move that unit off his lot. I'm not sure what kind of financing deals NH is offering at present, but they sometimes offer 0% for 36 months. This may help in negotiations with the CFO /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. Also, don't forget the cost of attachments in the talks with the CFO. They don't like surprises after the fact /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Best of luck in your search and purchase.

Hi, I have a 1999 TC29DA without Supersteer and it has a 7308 loader on it. The ONLY thing I don't like is the turf tire option. They are great around the yard and for most normal tasks, but on the hills in the woods they could be better. I may have to purchase a set of R4 tires and wheels, but that's a $1200 problem. Another option is to just sell the tractor and get another (probably larger) with the R4 tires on it. If you would be interested in an extremely clean 29 with 228 hours, let me know. I'm near Cincy. Or--anybody interested in some tire swapping?

What problem are you having with the turfs 'on the hills in the woods'? R4s might not be any better.
