Was doing some grass cutting and happened to notice that there is a spring that came undone down around the control rod (#1 in picture) for the 3 point hitch level control. This stuff is all down under the seat and is pretty tough to get a good look at. The one end is still attached to what looks like #7 in the picture but I have no idea what the other end attaches to. I checked all the parts diagrams on Messicks but could not find one that shows where that spring connects to. Are there any TC24DA owners that might be able to take a quick look and tell me where the other end might connect to?

I have a TZ25DA... might be similar. I shot some pics, see if it looks similar.

The first two pics are looking through the wheel well... the third one if from the back of the tractor, into it.

Mark,

First of all, welcome here!

I have a complete service manual for the TC24DA. Give me some time and I'll look at it and see what you might be talking about.

If you look straight ahead of the lever #7, towards the front of the tractor you'll see a U shaped bracket that has a couple holes in it. The spring connects to the LH hole, looking from the back end. Take a look here ...zoom in on the pic there and look at item #21

Thank you everyone for your quick replies. 99SVT it looks like you have a lot more stuff in there than I have on my tc24da. Is a lot of that linkage for a rear remote?

Thanks again.

no, don't have any of that stuff, only thing I have is the MMM. The PTO engagement lever is on that side, along with the height controller for the 3pt & MM

My PTO engagment is on the left hand side, I have the fwd control and 3 pt height control on my right side.

Thanks again for the pics.

Mark,

Did you get things taken care of?

Mega_Me,

I think I got it fixed thanks to TC Boomers reply. I connected the spring to the U shaped bracket. It just seems that the spring is a little long and just kind of hangs there loosely. Not sure what purpose it serves as it seems there is never much tension on it.

Thank you
