TC21D PTO question

Is the rear PTO live, or independent on this tractor? Reason I ask is, I just got a used brush hog, and want to know if I need an over-running coupler.

I'm assuming since it is a "D" it is a hydrostat. I always get my terms mixed up, I think it is called independent. In any event you don't need an overrunning clutch. When you push the clutch in, the cutter will spin free. You can then disengage the PTO and let the clutch back out and continue on about your way.

Welcome to TBN !. If you have HST I believe your rear PTO is "live". I do not believe that you need an over-running coupler for your rotary cutter. I would make sure that you have the correct size shear bolts for and/or your slip clutch is adjusted on the RC. Jay
