It looks like I am going to complete a purchase for a TC21D this week. Instead of $1700 for the belly mower, I am going to buy a rear 3 point finish mower, and a brush hog, AND save a little money. The question is, will the TC21D handle a 5 foot light duty (king Kutter) brush hog? I think the 5 footer is more practical, and can be used on larger tractors at a latter date, but the 4 footer will get into tight spots better.

My guess is that it should not be a problem at all. A 60" mower is pretty typical of tractors in that HP range. The manufactuer usually specifies the max and min HP for a given mower. Rat...

As I remember a 4' is recommended for brushogging,5' for finish mowing.I use a bellymower and have no need for the brushog.I think some other members have used these implements maybe they can give more info! Tom

70boss,

I have a TC18 Hydro 4x4 and use a 5' Woods rear finish mower and a 4' Woods rotary mower with zero problems.
Since you have 2 1/2 more hp, you should be fine. You may have a light front end unless you have a FEL, if you do have a light front end you'll need to add the 180 lbs. of weight to the front bumper like I did.

Welcome to "Club Blue"!

Good Luck, JimBinMI
