Hi,
This is my first post. I'm looking at a used TC21 with a 7106 loader which is rated at 600lbs. I do know that a 12la is rated at 750lbs for lift. My question is 1. can the 7106 lift too 750lbs or 2. can I get larger lift cyl.s to increase the lift to 750lbs? I think the mounts are different for the 7106 and the 12la which is determined by the sn# of the tractor, is this also correct?
Thanks

Chuck, the early tractors used the 7106 and the later ones were upgraded both in design and mounting for the 12LA loader. The limits of the 7106 are set. You WOULD NOT want to mess with those settings nor swap out cylinders to gain additional lift. That would be courting disaster for both your tractor and loader. You don't want a tractor broken in half, a broken front axle, or a broken loader. If you need more lift, the only reasonable thing to do is buy a larger tractor with a larger loader. It's an issue we all struggle with.:)
