Thanks for everyone's input on the TC21 vs TC18. I am pretty set now on the TC18.

Two dealers have quoted me the following: TC18 Hyst, 4WD, Power Steering, Industrial Tires, FEL $12,203 (not including sales tax). This price included $1100 in dealer rebates. Based on reviewing other posts the final price seems fair, but it is only that low because of the rebates. Should I be able to negotiate a better price or are the rebates standard in getting to the $12,000 range. I don't believe in sqeezing every penny out of the dealer but I don't want to pay more than the next guy.

I am also in need of a Yard Rake and Rear Blade. The quote on these was 72" $638 (with wheels) and 5' $368 respectively. How do these prices sound? Is the dealer the best place to buy these type of attachments?

Thanks!

I think you will be disappointed with the way the 72" rake performs. It will fit and work ok, but I would definitely go with a smaller one. Depending on where you live and pocket depth, think used if you're not in a big rush.

You probably want to use the small rake. Check to see if you can adjust the larger rake on the 3pt, it may hit your tires when set in the angled mode.

If you have a TSC, call and ask for the price of the KK rakes.

I gave $8900 including taxes and delivery, for just the 18. No frills. $385 for a 6' Woods RB72 rear blade. I like to stick with the same dealer for attachments, but I gave $300 less for my Bushhog at a dealer that was farther away from me.

BGM72,

I wish that I could help you on price but I'm out of town right now and don't remember my numbers. The Mighty TC18 will serve you well, I LOVE MINE! I use a 60" Woods back blade, 60" Woods rear discharge 3 pt. finish mower, 4' Woods rotary mower, and a 9 cu. ft. rear scoop. I did rent a rake once and got the 72" it worked OK but if I was buying one, I'd get a 60" for the TC18.

Let us know when you buy and we'll welcome you into "Club BLUE". /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif

Good Luck with your dealing, JimBinMI

I was hoping Spencer200 would chime in on this. I am intereseted in the same setup + the 60" MMM (rear discharge). Also what is the list on this unit? I want to compare apples to apples with the TC21D.

When does the dealer rebate program end? It is not advertised on NH web site (Deere's is)

The rebate program is to dealers only not advertised to the consumer.

tc18 turf tires and loader cost 11500.00 minus 1100.00 dealer settlement gives a dealer cost of 10400.00 7 to 9% over this cost plus dealers freight and setup would be a good price.
60" mid mount mower dealer cost $1880.00 for this tractor. The dealer also has a settlement allowance of 175.00 on the mower making his final cost 1705.00

I bought a TC18 4WD, Power Stearing, HST, Folding ROPs, Industrial Tires, FEL for $11,800 delivered (not including NY sales tax 8%).

I took delivery on Friday and have already used the tractor to pull an old boiler out of my crawl space. I would never have gotten it out without the tractor.

I used it a little in the sand and had some traction problems. I am going to experiment with weight and tires to try to get better traction (see my post in the gerneral using and operating section). So far I am very happy with the machine. Plenty of HP and loader lift for my use. The only problem my wife had was that the attachments I got (yard rake and rear blade) were not the same color as the tractor. Style counts in my house!

As for the TC21D other than HP and pump capcity the 21 has better lights and a flow control for your three point hitch to allow better speed control. There may be more but those are the things I noticed. My dealer quoted me $1800 more for the 21D vs 18. I will probably not use the PTOs much so HP was not as much of a factor The weight and FEL lift are the same for both and that is what I cared about.

Thanks for the help on the board especially Spencer.
