I finally had time to start checking into my problem. Lever is not bent and looks to be engaging correctly. I have cut a hole under the seat and followed the test procedure in the manual. When I started the engine, the gauge went up to 1 bar. After operating hydraulics and getting hydraulic fluid to operating temperature, I set the rpm to 2600 and the gauge still only reads 1 bar. I'm using a new 0-60 bar pressure gauge, but am not using their "special tool" CNH299008. A fitting that came with the gauge set fit. Do I need their special tool, which I looked up and it is a fitting, or is the test procedure in the manual missing something?

The fitting should not matter. The pressure will be the same with either one and yours is abysmally low. I suspect you are not getting the flow to your valve or the spool is not passing it to your clutch pack. I cannot imagine the pressure being that low just because the clutch is worn. That acts like a blown seal. You may have an o-ring seal below the valve that is leaking. Now that you have established a problem, you have to find out what/where it is failing.

It seems like to me that you should engage the pto while testing, but the manual does not say anything about that and I'm a little afraid to try it. Have you done this test before or know of someone that has that can tell me if the manual left this step out?

Since the manual also says that the pressure relief valve inside the PTO valve is what sets that pressure to the clutch, I would think you need the clutch engaged. It sure wouldn't hurt anything. You are right that the procedure doesn't say to engage the PTO, but I"d do it to be sure.

Well, at least I see change with that. If you engage the pto before you bump the rpm's up, it starts out reading about 10 bar, fluctuates between that and 2 bar. when set at 2600 rpm, drops back down to 2 bar and stays steady. Guess I'll have to get it to the shop.

I suppose your diverter valve could be gummed up and not sending the proper flow to the PTO valve, but all your other hydraulics work, don't they?

The diverter is on the right side under the operator's platform and the first thing the hydraulic fluid from the main pump goes to. The pipe coming off the top is the one that goes to the PTO valve. The diverter's sole purpose is to divert flow/pressure to the PTO system. It diverts .8 gpm to that circuit and the rest of the fluid goes to the rest of the hydraulic system.

Front bucket works fine. I'll check into the diverter valve.
