Price Check TC 40D Price

Ok, I'm getting close to sign for a new TC 40D. I've gotten quotes from 3 dealers and this one is the best:

TC 40D
SuperSteer
17LA Loader
72" Heavy duty bucket w/ skid-steer style quick attach
R4 tires (loaded / methanol)
3 rear hydraulic remotes
Block heater
Fold down grill guard
Repair manual and parts manual
Total: $23,553.00

These are the options I'm considering, so I priced them out separate:
Top-N-Tilt kit (top & 1 side) - $500
Mid-PTO - $350
2 rear facing work lights - $50
Arm rest kit - $75
Toothbar - $200
42" skid-steer forks - $660
Woods Brush Bull BB60 light-duty rotary cutter - $900

Any thoughts on prices or on the equipment itself is appreciated.

Is it worth it to go up to the medium duty Brush Bull? I haven't asked what the difference would be but it looks good from the brochure.

The price you received is about what I did.

Assuming you are getting hydraustatic transmission?Mid pto should be standard.

I am undecided between the Bradco 9' backhoe or the NH 758C??? My gut feeling is the Bradco Both prices are in around $7,000.

Also like the Land Pride finesh mower over the Woods.Both prices in around $2,000. to $2,500.

Received 4 quotes so far for a total package ranging between $31,500. to $35,500

The skid-steer forks are about $40 cheaper than I paid for mine. they are a great thing to have around.

I was under the impression that the mid-PTO was standard on the D models. I thought maybe I was just wrong when the dealer told me otherwise. Maybe I will just leave it off and see if it comes on the tractor when I get it. He said the same cost to add it now or later. I probably will never need it anyway.

I don't have any prices on backhoes since I don't have much need for one. My thought is usually to go w/ the manufacturer on loaders and backhoes, as they fit better, but I've heard good things about Bradco so you probably can't go wrong. Plus I like the name (<font color=blue>BradCo</font color=blue>leman) /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif.

After reading on this board about RimGuard, I would prefer it I think. But every dealer around (both NH and JD) have looked at me like I was stupid when I mention it. So I guess methanol will do.

What do you plan to use the front hydraulics for?

Perhaps because they've never heard of it? There aren't a whole lot of dealers out there who carry it yet. Rim Guard is just in the process of building up their distribution network. On the other hand... unless you are up in the mountains in VA, perhaps you don't need the -35 F protection?

A lot of dealers and tire folks won't mess with the alcohol-based stuff because of explosion/fire hazard (or so I'm told).
