I used to pull this plow with a Fordson major. Was glad that the NH TC40DA SS pulled it as well as it did, had to keep in 4WD. I think the Fordson would have pulled it in two. But the NH will turn some dirt. I also have a IH 474 that handles it pretty well.

I have an old two 14" plow that my FIL used with his 8N. My TC40DA has R4s and I had to use 4WD, but it makes a great little plow tractor.

That is some nice looking dirt. What are you planning to plant?

Your tractor will pull much better if you take off the loader. The loader's weight is on the front wheels and levers weight off the rear wheels. By removing the loader, you might be able to pull in 2WD only, especially with the ag tires instead of industrials.

Nice photos. That looks like some soil that hasn't been turned in a long time. With my TC45D, I pull a very abused Dearborn 2-bottom I inherited. I broke my garden spot with it and now I use my tiller mostly.

I bet the rear tires would grab better with out the loader. I'll have to try it sometime. The picture with spot broke is my normal garden spot which is broke every year. The picture with the plow engaged is on the other side of my garden on unbroke ground. I wanted to see how it handled undisturbed ground.

Just look at that and no stones to be seen! At my place that dirt would be chock full of all different size stones.
