2003 new holland tc 33
I have a tc33 that has had a starter that sometimes click and will not turn over. Bought a new starter and it spins but does not engage, the bendix is not moving. Sent that one back and got another one. Same thing! Put old one back in and now that one will not engage. WTF its one connector and two nuts, what's going on?

Check your battery cables and clean them and your grounds first. The battery cables are known to have internal corrosion issues

Clean and tighten battery connections. Do not neglect the frame ground. Charge battery fully. Check voltage. Have someone monitor voltage while start is attempted or have battery load tested.

Before you pull and/or condemn another starter, why not try this. Take a short piece of wire and attach a female spade connecter to one end. A connector that will slip onto the spade on the starter. Leave the other end of the wire bare. Now put that on the starter instead of the signal wire coming out of the harness. Tractor in neutral, key off. Momentarily flash the bare end of the wire to the battery positive cable and see what happens. Do you get the same results? Or does the starter engage and begin cranking the engine? The results may tell you what to do next.

You sure the teeth on the ring gear are good?
