I mentioned in another thread here about foaming on my Hydro dipstick after getting warmed up. I did a Complete Hydro service with all NH hydro oil and filters. The service had about 250hrs on it. I have really not been able to find a suction leak causing this. I decided to siphon off a few gallons of fluid to see what it looks like. This is NOT water nor do I believe its foam from air, the tractor has been sitting still for 3 weeks. Going to flush it with TS Hydro oil and drain again with new filters and NH Oil and filters. See what happens, My Backhoe still has this crap in it so I will hook it up and run that through the flushing process.

I read the other thread you mention. I've never had any foaming issues, but I will comment that your fluid appears unusually dark.
How does the color compare to new fluid?
I ran an hst fluid interval of 1200h with offline filtering on a previous tractor, and it was slightly darkened when changed but not much.

It does appear dark in the pic, On the stick it looked normal, I believe I picked up something when I hooked up to my splitter in the fall(sits outside) I started to notice a higher pump noise shortly after that. I just dumped the rest of it now, same thing a foamy goopy looking substance, will see how it goes after the flush.

When I had my NH TC33D I used the NH 134 fluid (not thinner winter grade) and it was a MUCH lighter color. Is that dark stuff just floating to the surface? Put it in a glass and see if it separates into layers.

Its NH Ambra 134g from about 250hrs ago right from the dealer. It kind of looks like salad dressing when mixing. I took off a Gallon a few weeks ago and observed.

If you're not in a hurry send a sample to Blackstone labs and find out what the contamination is. It kind of looks like engine oil. Do you ever loan out your implements, a different brand fluid could come from a different tractor hydraulics.

I do not loan or swap out stuff..Engine oil eh, I wonder if that is even possible. Tractor Supply does NOT sell 2 gallon buckets anymore, I ended up buying another 5 gallons for flushing purposes. Will see how it goes. My neighbor was using it with my backhoe pulling a stump when I noticed the noise.

I'll tell you something stupid I did once, I had put used motor oil in an empty 5gal hydraulic fluid container. I didn't label it and didn't get over to the recycler with it, so 6 months later I accidentally put about 2 gal of it into the reservoir on a boom lift that I had replaced some hoses on. I kept looking at this fluid as I was pumping it, thinking it looked really dark, then it finally dawned on me what I was doing. Fortunately I didn't start the machine, so I only had to pump out the reservoir.
