TC 29D Clutch Adjustment?

   / TC 29D Clutch Adjustment? #11
The clutch pedal pivots on the brake pedal cross shaft. The linkage going to the rear of the tractor is the left brake operating rod. There is an 'L' shaped rod that has the short leg fixed through an eyelet cast into the clutch pedal itself. The longer leg of this 'L' shaped rod is threaded and has an adjustable clevis and jam nut threaded onto it. The threaded clevis is pinned to the clutch pedal cross-shaft. Make the necessary adjustment to the threaded clevis and rod. The parts are similar but not identical to the older 1700 that someone posted photos of. Your operator's manual should help you out. Case / New Holland Parts Catalogs is the link for the online parts breakdown. Look under TC29 /transmission/ pedals and brake lock (hst & 9 speed) for a diagram.
I could not find a breakdown of the clutch on a 9 speed, but the PTO gears page shows no one-way sprag on 9 speed tractors, so that and my fading memory tells me gear drive TC class II tractors have a double clutch.
