TC-29 New Holland, Ford 3600, JD 310C
Good evening,
I have a TC-29 new Holland. Been having starting trouble with it all winter. I own a lawn care and landscaping business, so its something that gets used every day. Cranks over fine, but blows a lot of white smoke and doesn't start. New battery, and I've had the starter and solenoid tested multiple times. Seems to get worse each time and now I haven't been able to start it for three days. When she's running its not rough, smoking, etc, so I don't think its an injection pump problem. But...it acts like its not getting enough fuel to start. And yes the glow plugs are working. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Check fuel filter and see if there's water settled in the bowl. If you haven't changed filter for awhile I'd do that.
Make sure there's no obstruction in fuel tank, pull the line someplace convenient and see if fuel flows out. If you drop something in there it can block the line, once you start moving the tractor it moves around and allows fuel to flow, but when it stops it settles back in the same place.
Fuel shutoff solenoid could be getting stuck, some tractors only engage it for a few seconds to shutdown, others leave it in place and hold it open to run. Might see if that's working properly.
