I have just purchased 22 acres of wooded river front property in MO. Over time I plan to develope this property into a small campground. I am looking at purchasing a TC 29 with loader and brush hog. After looking at the specs and realizing the TC25 has the same size engine just lower HP at lower RPMs. For nearly $800.00 difference would the TC25 serve me just as well? Should I save there and go to the hydro instead of manual transmission? Would like to hear comments from those of you with the experience. They will be greatly appreciated.

Bogey, my personal opinion is that you will regret it if you don't go with the hydro if you're going to do much with the front end loader. As for which tractor, either will do, but I'd recommend going for the largest the budget allows.

Bogey, I echo what Bird said. If I had to make a choice between 4 hp and the hydro. I'd take the hydro. I have a TC45D with about 80 hrs on it. I can tell you from many years of experience with gear tractors that the hydro is absolutely habit forming. Go for the highest powered hydrostatic tractor you can afford. You will not regret it./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
