TBN member suffers severe injury

Was thinking a bit about this last night and it seems to me that it would be really encouraging if we let Robert & his family know (at least) we're cheering for him. Not sure how this would work out in practice but I know if I were in a similar position that sort of encouragement would be really beneficial. Ideas?

Hopefully he will have and/or get computer internet access soon. I just PM'd him a supportive message. I hope he gets it. TBN helped me get through a difficult period in my life recently

jimg: I never forgot about the cucumber pickle recipe. My recipe for refrigerator kosher dills is not coming out right this year. It might be my changing taste buds but they keep coming out too salty

. When I finally get the correct salt mix I will post the recipe.

I was told he now has his laptop, but getting online may be another problem in itself, depending on the resources available at the hospital.

DAVID: just saw this thread today, Dang that is rotten. Robert is one of the guys that gets togeter with us in the wny chapter have met him numerous times. I live only about 1/2 hour from him. if you know what hospital he is in send me a PM i will at least send a card from all the guys at TBN or go and vist when he is up to it also pm his phone # if you have it, i might be able to help him in some minor way . Robert is a wonderful young man and boy he sure loves that beautiful little girl of his. D---m i feel rotten right now

Too bad it would logistically take a while to get around.. but it would be neat to start a card daisy chain.. that is.. buy a card, sign it and send it to another member, who signs it, and sends it to another memer.. etc.

As big as this community is, and as many people that know rob.. it might not be feasable for one card to make the circuit.

perhaps a card started in each time zone? or? geographical region.. or?

Any other ideas. If we do a card, I volunteer to go buy it tomorrow am and drop it int he mail to the next member who wants to be in the chain?

Since this is sort of your idea, I could mail the card to you and then you could pass it to the next?

If anyone has any beter ideas.. post em!

As far away as I am, not being employed, I offered to come up there if there was anything I could do to help out. His Mother said they had it under control, but if it had happened before the crops got in, they would have taken me up on it. Got to admit, the trip would have been funded by my Mother, out of her "mission work fund" that she keeps to help out people who need it. Being unemployed, I couldn't just afford to drive up there with gas prices the way they are. I will send a PM to you.
