TBN member suffers severe injury

I am having a problem with my Ford 7710 and another member has gone out of his way to help me in the past and I needed a few pages of his manual to look at. I noticed that he hadn't posted lately, so I looked up his phone number and called. I actually had the wrong number, got his Dad's phone but was told that Robert_in_Ny had fallen from a roof almost two weeks ago and broke his back. He had back surgery last Friday which lasted 5 hours. He is being fitted for one of those plastic body casts which they expect he will have to wear for about 3 months.
Being currently out of work and getting lazy sitting around here, I thought if he could use some help, I would drive up and help him with whatever needs to be done. I don't expect to have any pressing needs until the first of December, so I figured it might be time to help somebody else. I was told that pretty much they have most of it under control, since it is late in the season and most of the harvest is in.
Anyone in that area that hears anything, please post updates!
As devastating as a back injury can be, I will keep Robert_in_Ny and his family in my prayers, and hopefully all of you will also.

I wish he had been busy, instead of this!!
Hopefully in a day or two he will return to his computer and give us a status report. I am sure checking in on TBN probably isn't a high priority right now. I am sure a card would be appreciated.

If he's bedridden, I hope they give him a computer terminal and internet. It's a lot better time killer than books and soap operas like in the old days.

Very sorry to hear this news. Robert has spent many hours helping others with his insight of the New Holland brand, as well as others. I hope he's on the good mend now, and gets back up and around soon. What a tragic accident....

Hopefully he will have a full and speedy recovery. Surgeons are getting better techniqes and equipment to work on major back injuries now. I worked at a place where a guy fell about forty feet onto a steel melting furnace. The furnace was covered in pipes and hoses and other not fun objects. He had a major back injury. The surgeon spent several hours working on his back and inserting steel rods etc. After the surgery he spent time recovering and then doing physical therapy. When he finished his therapy he started working out in a gym. 1 year after he was hurt he had been back at work for a while and you never knew he had been hurt. I hope that Robert_in_Ny makes that level of recovery.
