Have you done the software upgrade for the two speed fan yet? Just curious if you feel it is necessary.

timm9,
I have a late-run Summer 2005 5600 Turbo B-series, and I'm not sure if I need the software upgrade. My dealer hasn't mentioned it to me yet, but I will ask.

To keep us a bit organized, I ask you to start a new thread in the Toolcat forum by going to the list of Toolcat threads, pressing "Post" and putting in the subject "Software Upgrade For Two-Speed Fan"... Then describe what you know about the upgrade and any questions. We'll see what others have experienced. Thanks.

I will do that...sorry if it was in the wrong area.

After Timm9 from CA, here's the latest Toolcat owner posting on TBN:

WA State (San Juan Islands)
Gadgetnut Chris, 2005 5600 Turbo C-series on order, 35 acres

Take a look in "Mower Choice for ToolCat" thread for Gadgetnut's great attachment selections.

Who's next with a Toolcat purchase? How about Rip, AKslider, Locomotive8, tdamico, Dargo, Haoleguy, fishead, bmac, bam747, rox, rivulet, keeney or hobbyfarm? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I really, really, really like them and want one. I thought about stealing one, but the dealer drives past my place every night, so I don't think that will work. I'm still saving my pennies and waiting for the 3 pt. hitch upgrade and the cool "load you own bed" upgrade. Does that halfway count? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Dargo, I've heard the rear 3-point hitch option (beyond the currently available pulled Rear PTO and Rear Hydraulics options) will be available (in mid-late 2006?) when they introduce revised frames for the Toolcat 5600 as well as the smaller Toolcat 4600. Might make sense for those who have 3ph implements they still want to use (but I predict you'll switch to front-mounted attachments anyway!) /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Bam747 is waiting for the new super cab version of the Toolcat as suggested in the "Any Toolcat questions?" thread. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Just to give you all a picture of my world, I took a ride with a friend to a Christmas lunch yesterday in a new Nissan Xterra SUV. I just barley folded myself into the passengers seat. My knees were sitting just a couple inches below the TOP of the dash and I had to sit with my head tilted to the side to keep it off the roof! Can you imagine what would happen if the air bag went off?

So what do I drive you ask? Ford SuperDuty Crew Cab WITH the drivers seat moved back another 5 inches or so!
