If I went to a repair shop and encountered someone like that, I'd have a hard time not judging the book by its cover.
The first time I saw one of his videos, I was convinced it was a spoof and didn't take it seriously, as I didn't have time to sit through what appeared to be a gag video.

We must be in the minority. I checked his subscriber count and he has 144K! Good for Taryl but, the get up still turns me off.

I've watched a few of his videos, but it seems like he makes a lot of the jobs harder than he would have to.
Can't think of an example, but several times I have seen him take the much more difficult method to disassemble something.
