Had two chances to buy '62 convertibles and turned them down. Kicking myself now. :banghead:
Unless I miss my guess, that's a '69 Nova. I bought a similar one, in 1970 for $2,330. It was garage kept until I got rear ended in 1977, and it sat in the garage for another 2 or 3 years. It didn't have a speck of rust, anywhere. Sold it for $300. That is a pitiful picture.
How did your Nova get rear-ended while being kept in the garage? Why did you let it sit there for 3 more years? lol
Did you really think it got rear ended in the garage?
I will admit that my statement was a bit inartful, but it was garage kept except when I drove it to work and law school. I did not sit on a pedestal or a rotisserie for all the world to admire, but was a working vehicle. I let it sit in the garage after the incident because (a) I was too busy to worry about it, since I was working during the day and going to school at night (2) I didn't need the space; and (3) I though I might want to have it fixed some day.
Why did you ask these questions? Were you really confused by my statement, or are you just yanking my chain? Did you really think it got rear ended in the garage? Did I clear things up for you?
One of my first cars was an austin healey sprite with the bug eyes, it was underpowered and unreliable and it was sold for about $300 in the late 60's, today they are about the price of a small house.

Totally yanking your chain. What you initially wrote was crystal clear. Please take note that the "lol" (laugh out loud) was me trying to denote that I meant it all in jest.
