Taking down 42ft x 500ft pole barn

I have given away almost half of the insulation but I still have about 6000 cu.ft. left (still in the ceiling). Does anyone know of a use for this stuff so I do not have to send it to a landfill? Does anyone want it? Can I bury it? Can I burn it? It is loose blown in paper insulation.

I'd burn it if you can't find anybody on Craigslist to come and get it for free.

I think most (all?) loose blown paper insulation is treated with a fire retardant, so I'm not sure how it would burn. However, it would be illegal for you to burn it in NC.

As I understand it, the chemicals used to treat that type of insulation are relatively innocuous, so it probably wouldn't pose a risk to groundwater. However, I defer to experts on this issue.

Nothing to be sick about, I am taking it down in exchange for the first 100 foot or so of it which I will take to Roxboro to repair what I have there. The rest will be organized and sold at very good prices.
