So if my current pump is a clockwise rotation I can be confident the new Rexroth pump is the same? Looks clockwise to me on the little drawing on the Rexroth tag...

If the Rexroth nameplate shows a build date of 2011 Week 7 then its likely a reman (or just take off/paint) unit? How likely is it that a brand new pump from 2011 has been sitting around uninstalled for 8 years?

Thanks for the info guys. Its sounding more and more like this pump from the Alibaba vendor might work for me, at less than 1/2 the cost of one sourced in the US.

If reman it was not done by a Rexroth service center since they would have put a reman tag or some form of ID on it. Doubt sitting on the shelf since 2011 and if it has been you don't want it since the seals would potentially have dried out.

Yes, you are finding out that Rexroth product is not easily sourced outside of Rexroth distribution or the equipment OEM especially the Uchida division.

I have never used Alibaba so cannot comment on quality of rebuild.

hello, here attaches the instruction pdf for Variable double pump AP2D.
You can see that 28 and 25 means the Displacement Vgamx. and the word "R" means the Direction of rotation.
and after install the pump, the engineer will reprogram and the pump will work at a right displacement.
