i have seen some info on montana and long but does any one have any feed back on Tafe. There is a dealer here in the area but he runs a small operation. I have been unsure about parts and service availability should he go under. The other local tractor dealers dont supply Tafe. I am doing some research for a buddy who is in the market. The tafe dealer has some pretty darn good prices and package deals. I haven't been able to find a whole lot on the net though. How about durability? Has any one owned one for a while and are there any long term or mid range reviews or comments on the dependability of the tractors and availibility of parts?

The korean Tafe units are the same as the Montana and Long Farmtrack compact's made by LG.They are very dependable units,if the "Tafe" dealer ever went out you still could buy your parts from other's, I believe the loaders on Tafe were from Allied/Buhler

has any one had any bad experiences with tafe or any major problems? what are some common problems experienced by owners and does any one have any input on their long term durability? How long has Tafe been in production? Finally does any one know where any owner reviews can be found?
Great thanks for your help
Todd

I love TBN but sadly have requested on several occasionas a review spot for Montana tractors or LG manufactured tractors and no one responds.

Please TBN, add us proud Montana owners and LG manufactured tractors to the review section.

Thanks,
Maka

We have a Tafe 3600 HST w/loader, which is a LG tractor. We really like it. We have a farm and I use it about every other day, I haul one 4x4 round bale on the three point and one on the loader and dump them in the feeders. We have also tedded hay, brush hogged, hauled wagons of hay, scraper bladed, cleaned barns, etc. I must say that it is a very well built tractor, I am very satisfied with it.
The only "problems" we have had are the rear work light does not work and the dash panel is cloudy, my dealer will fix these as soon as I call him, or when I can do without it for a few days.
We got a HST because my wife could not get the hang of the a clutch and gears, city girl! And, if she could drive it she would be in favor of getting a new tractor! In all seriousness, it has so many safety features that I feel she is safe and I don't worry as much. I give the Tafe (LG) very high marks.

There is a review section for other tractor reviews.

Yes, I know but how do you put a review in for our brand of tractor if it is not on the drop down list in the section.

I have been to the reviews many times and it has a space for suggesting but there has never been a response from TBN when I have inquired.

Thanks,
Maka

thanks for the great comments. Very helpful. My next question would be one out of ignorance of the brand so pleaser bear with me. My bud, whom im trying to help with research on the brand, has about 14 acres. I advised him a 40-50 hp would probably serve him best. He would have to decide what he wants to do with the land. Basically what would be a good model to look at for 14 acres and 3-5 head of cattle and 1-2 horses. Maybe a paddoc garden or something of the sort. I'm sure there would be some basic landscaping, snow removal, bush hogging and so forth.

SOME of the compact TAFE's are built by LG, (now LS). The rest are built in India by TAFE. TAFE is 24% owned by AGCO and also builds some Massey Ferguson's, particularly for the Indian market. TAFE recently bought the Eicher tractor company in India.

I would think that a 28 to 36 h.p. would be a good size for what he wants to do.
