TAFE 35DI Diesel Fuel System Problem Diagnosis and Troubleshooting...

My TAFE has begun losing power and will sit and idle but I can't increase the RPMs with the throttle, and it eventually just stops running at all. I have removed and cleaned the Fuel settlement bowl, bled the Primary and Secondary filters, and that got it running at 2200 RPM under the shed, but today I tried to use it and the same loss of power resulted. We don't have any tractor dealers in my county that will work on TAFE tractors, and of course they don't make TAFE anymore, but the TAFE factory in India does manufacture Massey-Ferguson tractors. The TAFE 35DI is a clone of the old Massey-Ferguson 35D diesel.

Has anyone had this problem and how did you correct it, if you did?

I don't want to screw anything up with the diesel fuel injector pump because I just spent over 800 dollars three years ago to rebuild it. Any suggestions?

I found my trouble with my TAFE 35DI diesel fuel system. Apparently all the jostling while I was scraping hurricane debris and gouges from the excavator jarred the fuel settlement bowl lose enough it was sucking in air, but wouldn't leak any fuel out. I just started at the beginning of the fuels system and removed, cleaned, reinstalled and bled the fuel system--it started right up, but don't know if that was the real problem or not until I put it back to work tomorrow... Thanks to all who made suggestions to me...
