I have a jacket and pants, wear it to court so I stand out.
There is net on the bale, you can just see it on the top right, we cut it off when it gets down so they don't try to eat it, we generally have two bales out at a time for six TB's, or are you talking about something else?

Talking about something else: GutzBusta(R) Round Bale Hay Nets | GutzBusta Slow Feed Hay Nets – Shop – GutzBusta

I've got a couple of them (easier to swap bales/paddocks) in the wide opening dimension. I also bought them for a 6' round so that it's very easy to fit it over the round bale. It definitely helps the bale last longer as the horses aren't destroying the bale to get at "the good stuff" + fouling what they haven't eaten with their droppings/urine.

Well there you go...table manners are best learned at the table, so absent a table, I would have to find them not guilty by reason of insufficient training. :)

SWMBO doesn't like the nets and wants a metal over bale feeder, I am merely the boy so will have to obey.
Manners maketh man, equines exempt.

Well I suppose if SWMBO is paying for the hay and doesn't want to make it last amongst her horses, then that's her call.

I've been using nets, along with a hay ring (that I made out of cut-down pallets), for years. With a net I'll easily get an extra 2 days from the round (between 2 TB's). (the photo is from 5 years ago, before I discovered hay nets. I'd just knocked up the ring)
