Loader t5c Rear drive motor removal

Need to pull drive motor for rebuild, Do you need to remove the four bolts on the companion flange and remove the drive motor and brake drum as one unit. It looks like there is a nut under the companion flange that holds the brake drum on the drive motor spindle. There parts diagram stinks and I cant locate a repair manual for the backhoe its a 1997 model t5

If anyone is interested you don't need to remove the 4 bolts that hold the companion flange to the brake drum. The diagram of the rebuild gasket kit shows a keyed tapered shaft with a nut on the end. The actual shaft just slides into the brake drum

Call terramite for help. I was told there are no parts available for torque motor, only gaskets. I have had difficulty getting torque motor out because the key way was damaged. If all you have to do is replace the seal on shaft, terra corp might give you the part number and you can pick one up at NAPA.

I replaced the seal on my T5C. I decided to buy a new torque motor for my T5D because the seal was blown off the shaft, about $800.

I see you live in Evansville. I live 100 mile North, Terre Haute. Bought my first T5C off ebay, picked it up in Ky.

I'm a fan on Terrmites, easy to work on, can still get parts, and most importantly they are the only gassers still in production. I have lung issues and can't be around diesels. So terramites were a no brainer for me.

I just went through this today with my 2000 Allmand TLB which is made by the same Korean MFG and very similar... I spent the last week trying to figure this one out because the Allmand manual sux too... I did not need to remove the brake flange on mine (and actually couldn't the way it was built)... I finally figured out that if I removed the 4 bolts on the block on the top of the motor where the 2 major hyd hoses go int the unit (I don't know what it's called) the splined motor shaft will just pull out of the brake hub... You will lose some fluid when you pull that block up off the motor so be prepared with a pan, only about a pint in my case... Also had to remove the smaller hose at the other end of the motor to remove... You will get fluid out of that one too... Be prepared to have something to plug these holes because mine continued to leak long after you would have thought it would stop... Good luck finding that motor... I had no luck but I was just looking to try to solve the removal problem, mine is fine... You might try these guys fremont industrial supply they were helpful...
